In the solid-state battery track, TAICO, as a representative of China’s second echelon, differentiates itself from the sulfide routes of CATL and BYD by manufacturing solid-state batteries through oxide-polymer composite electrolyte technology.

It uses oxide-polymer solid-state batteries to enter high value-added scenarios, and simultaneously reserves sulfide electrolyte technology to achieve a leap from “material innovation” to “ecological integration”.

Technical advantages of solid-state batteries

1. Safety – zero fire, no explosion

Solid-state batteries use non-flammable solid electrolytes to replace traditional liquid electrolytes, completely eliminating the risks of electrolyte leakage, volatilization and combustion. Taking TAICO’s solid-state battery puncture test as an example, the solid-state battery achieved “zero fire” and “no explosion” in its needle puncture test, becoming the key technology for the current safety upgrade of TAICO’s energy storage system.

2. Energy Density Leap – breaking the limit of 500Wh/kg

The energy density of solid-state batteries can reach 400-500Wh/kg, which is more than 50% higher than that of liquid lithium batteries. In the industry, TAICO is the first to purchase solid-state batteries with oxide-polymer composite electrolyte technology. This technology successfully solves the interface impedance problem of solid-state batteries (interface impedance is reduced to 5Ω·cm²), and the ion conductivity is increased to 10⁻² S/cm, close to the level of liquid electrolytes. Through the verification of the lithium-sulfur solid-state battery system by the TAICO team, the capacity retention rate of 25,000 cycles is >80%, and the fast charging speed reaches 20C (charging to 80% in 10 minutes)

3. Ultra-long Cycle Life – 10,000 cycles of capacity retention rate > 80%

The solid-solid interface stability of solid-state batteries significantly extends the cycle life. Taking TAICO’s solid-state battery product T-ONE S as an example, its innovative oxide-polymer composite electrolyte system can ensure that the capacity decay of the battery after 10,000 cycles is less than 20%, which is suitable for grid-side frequency modulation energy storage systems. Compared with ordinary lithium iron phosphate batteries (decay to 80% after 5,000 cycles), solid-state batteries can reduce the life cycle cost of energy storage systems by 40%. This is highly favored by customers in Europe and the United States.

The T-ONE S series is the flagship product of the TAICO solid-state battery series and is a wall-mounted home energy storage system product. The power is 2.5kwh-30kwh, using solid-state batteries and high-quality BMS. Process technology innovation

TAICO’s latest internal process design – battery extrusion process; innovative use of aviation-grade aluminum alloy + stainless steel composite module stress balance technology, so that the stress distribution on the battery cell reaches 98% uniformity.

This reduces the cycle expansion rate by more than 50%, completely eliminating the expansion problem that occurs in traditional processes. Its unique directional heat conduction channel design effectively minimizes the temperature difference inside the battery.

The terminal positioning algorithm ensures precise alignment, reduces manual intervention in the production line by 92%, ensures that the subsequent welding pass rate exceeds 99.99%, and extends the battery pack life by 50%.

Automatic laser spot welding process for battery cells

Equipped with a high-power pulse laser generator, welding is completed instantly, ensuring that the melting depth and width of the welding point meet the standards, increasing welding strength by 40%, reducing the heat of fast charging by 30%, and increasing the conductivity efficiency by 15%. With metallographic testing instruments, it can provide real-time feedback on welding quality parameters to ensure zero hidden dangers in welding quality and eliminate false welding

Intelligent monitoring system

Online monitoring has no blind spots, and the whole chain self-inspection is completed within 30 minutes. Highly sensitive sensors are deployed on the production line to build an automated system, and 18 key parameters such as temperature, pressure, and displacement are collected at the millisecond level. 15 years of data traceability has stabilized the output at more than 99.98%.
